Honey bees are making headlines the last few years. Sadly because of their rapidly declining numbers. Since bees are pollinators (like for example butterflies, hummingbirds, bats), a large percentage of our crops depend on them for reproduction. It is believed development, pesticides, mites, viruses and climate change are causing havoc upon the pollinator population.
Fortunately lots of researchers are investigating and their studies (watch the video at the below) are raising awareness, and some cool ideas for conservation and restoring the population are being deployed. Isn’t it nice to know that you can actually do something yourself to help out these beautiful, and for us humans serviceable and important, animals?
